Helping Bright, Complex, and Misunderstood Learners Thrive
In All Five Boroughs and Beyond
Does your child light up when talking about dinosaurs, coding, or fantasy books, but shut down during math homework?
You’re not alone. Many bright, curious learners have deep passions, and just as deep frustrations when faced with material that feels boring, overwhelming, or disconnected from what they love. I meet students where they are, which means building on their interests, strengths, and learning style to re-engage them with subjects they’ve come to avoid. Together, we’ll turn roadblocks into momentum.
Have teachers said your child is “smart but not applying themselves”?
This is one of the most common (and frustrating) phrases I hear from parents, and it often signals a mismatch between a student’s needs and the support they’re receiving. I specialize in working with gifted and twice-exceptional (2E) learners who may be underperforming not due to lack of ability, but because of executive function challenges, learning differences, or boredom. My approach helps students feel understood, capable, and motivated to thrive.
Are you constantly advocating for your child, yet still not getting the support they
need in school?
You’ve tried everything. Emails, meetings, IEPs or 504s, and yet your child is still struggling. I understand how exhausting it is to navigate school systems while trying to protect your child’s confidence. I work in partnership with families to provide not only targeted academic support, but also executive function coaching, confidence-building, and tools to help students feel empowered. Your child can succeed, and you don’t have to do it alone.
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place. I offer warm, personalized tutoring and coaching for students in grades K–12—especially gifted, twice-exceptional (2E), or struggling learners who haven’t been reached by traditional methods. Let’s reconnect your child to their curiosity, confidence, and love of learning.
